Website Performance Analysis
Python analytics for The Recording Academy after Grammy.com and recordingacademy.com became separate sites — traffic, engagement, awards moments, and an AMA comparison.
Overview
After the split, teams needed side-by-side clarity on how each site performed for different audiences. I analyzed daily metrics — visitors, pageviews, sessions, bounce, session length — including flags for Awards Week and Awards Night.
What I built
- Cleaning and comparison pipelines in Pandas/NumPy
- Interactive Plotly/Dash views of engagement and bounce patterns
- Benchmark framing against the American Music Awards site
- Plain-language takeaways for product/UX follow-up

Outcome
In the April–June 2023 window reviewed: Grammy.com showed higher traffic and lower bounce; AMA showed stronger pages/session and duration. Directional recommendations: deepen Grammy sessions; grow AMA traffic. Findings are scoped to that timeframe, not a full-year audit.
